Brooklyn Landscapes

Helping Set International Standards for Green Construction4th November 2013

Brooklyn Landscapes chosen landscape contractor for “SEC Centre” at Bradford University.

Opening its doors in June, the SEC Centre  provides a new space for re-search, re-generation, re-invention and re-thinking the future. Known as the The Sustainable Enterprise Centre throughout its building phase, Brooklyn Landscapes are proud to have been selected to implement the landscaping scheme.

“The SEC Centre has been designed to the University's target driven sustainability specification, delivering the world's highest ever pre-construction BREEAM (external link) rating of 94.95% at award. The building seeks to be the focal point in embedding sustainable living and learning within all University activities in unison with the Ecoversity vision. The building will showcase sustainable development and construction at its best and expand the University's relationship with the wider community.”

Working alongside GB Building and Margaret Twigg (landscape architect) to achieve our objective on behalf of Bradford university, we are extremely proud of the results and to be a part of such an exciting project.
